The now-dead site posted links to various BitTorrent files, placing it directly in the crosshairs of the entertainment industry. Searches on "suprnova" jumped 311% as file swappers tried to reach the vanished site. As news spread throughout the file-sharing community that suprnova was no more, traders searched furiously for alternatives to get their fix of illicit downloads.
