Bhutan
Normally I'll put a hodge podge of crap here on the blog, mostly just silly stuff, but in doing research for my final paper for my final class I ran across something that is somewhat amazing in my opinion. Bhutan is about to convert its form of government from a nearly century old monarchy to a parliamentary democracy with a constitutional monarch. I know exciting stuff eh? But here's what I find interesting...
This is probably a first for the internet; Bhutanese citizens discussing the future of their country and of a recent draft constitution. Online and in English, too.
The link will take you to a message board for the only newspaper in Bhutan, the kuensel. (kuenselonline.com)
